MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WTVF) — Debris pickup from the March 3 tornado is beginning in Wilson County.

Contractors will prioritize debris removal based on the tornado's path. Those in the impacted area are asked to place tornado-generated debris on the sidewalk or public right-of-way.

The county said normal household trash will not be collected. Contractors will collect only loose debris, so residents are urged not to place any bagged debris outside for pickup.

Wilson County residents are also asked to sort the debris into categories: vegetative, construction and demolition, white goods, household hazardous waste and electronics.

The county provided the following graphic for more information on the debris clean up.
