NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The wintry weather and icy conditions have prompted delays and cancellations at Nashville International Airport.

Airport operation crews worked overnight to keep at least one runway open at BNA, but airport officials are urging travelers to check with their airlines before heading to the airport. Click here to check your flight status.

Although there is one runway open, airport officials are confident they can still handle the flight volume for flights that have not been canceled.

Some freezing rain and sleet are expected to continue this morning before changing over to snow this afternoon. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
