Woman Accused Of Taking Dropped Billfold From Gallatin

GALLATIN, Tenn. – Police have asked the public’s help in identifying a woman who allegedly picked up a billfold that had been dropped inside a Sumner County gas station.

The incident was reported around 8:40 a.m. Monday, at the Station Camp Market on Long Hollow Pike in Gallatin.

Officials with Gallatin police said the female suspect entered the store and picked up billfold off the floor dropped by a customer. She allegedly took $522 cash from the wallet and used $2 of it to buy some chips.

Police said the woman looked around the store to see if anyone had noticed before leaving and throwing the billfold away outside.

She was traveling with a white male in what was believed to be a white Jeep Cherokee.
