GLASGOW, Ky. – A head-on crash in Barren County, Kentucky has claimed the lives of a woman and a 12-year-old boy.
The incident happened at 5:30 p.m. Monday on Tobacco Road.
Officials with the Barren County Sheriff's Office said two vehicles met in a curve and collided head-on. The driver of a Ford truck, identified as 35-year-old Joshua Cook, was not hurt.
The driver of a van, 34-year-old Andrea Pitcock, was injured and flown to the University of Louisville where she later died. Kenneth Glass was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said they were not wearing their seatbelts.
Four other passengers were taken to TJ Samson Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Drugs or alcohol were not thought to have been a factor in the crash.
