A woman has been arrested after allegedly stealing a package off the front porch of an East Nashville home.
According to an affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, the incident happened around 8 a.m. on September 20.
A woman was seen on home surveillance video taking a package off the porch. Police said the parcel containing cosmetics was worth $150.
Two different people came forward with information, identifying the suspect as Jessica “Jessy” Douglas.
Once the surveillance photos were publicly released, police said Douglas returned to the home several times and was videoed knocking on the door. The homeowner never answered.
On Wednesday, police said Douglas left a signed note apologizing and left a bag containing cosmetics. She signed the note "Jessy" and left a phone number.
Douglas was charged with theft of property, $1,000 or less.
