NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman has been charged with arson after she allegedly set fire to two of her neighbors' cars.

Officials with Metro Police said Chantel Kimble was taken into custody Thursday night, about two weeks after the incidents occurred.

She’s been accused of setting fire to a BMW valued at $115,000 and a luxury model Lexus. The victims' home suffered damage, as well.

NewsChannel 5 captured incredible video from the scene on July 17 as crews worked to extinguish the blaze. Firefighters said the fire was so large and so intense, they had to use the jaws of life to lift the car up and get water underneath it.

Kimble allegedly dumped gasoline on two different cars outside of her neighbors' home.

Police said she was injured in the seemingly random arson after kicking a gas canister which caused severe burns.

Last week, NewsChannel 5 spoke exclusively with the victims, who said they've had trouble with this woman before.

“That’s been our big question. ‘Why, why?’ Cause it does feel targeted from Monday and now today,” said Nicole Gallardo.

Police have not mentioned a specific motive in the case at this point.

Kimble bonded out of jail Friday morning.
