Woman Crashes Stolen Car In Clarksville

A woman was arrested after police say she crashed a stolen car in Clarksville.

The incident happened around 7 a.m. Monday on Greenwood Avenue.

Clarksville police said witnesses saw the driver of a Dodge Stratus crash into a utility pole and flee on foot. 

Officers identified her as Brandy Bourne and later found her at a Summit Heights address.  

According to investigators, Bourne had been driving south on Greenwood Avenue and crashed into the pole for unknown reasons.  

Police said the vehicle was reported stolen, unregistered, and had no proof of insurance. Bourne also had a revoked license.

The 25-year-old was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with driving on a revoked license, driving an unregistered vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, no proof of insurance, and auto theft.

Her bond was set at $31,000.
