GALLATIN, Tenn. – A woman died in a crash on 31 West Tuesday evening in Sumner County while riding her bicycle.
The Sumner County Sheriff said it happened just before 6:00p.m. north of Highway 25.
The sheriff said 66-year-old Beverly Joe Sloan was hit by a 2011 Chevy Equinox while riding her bike.
Sloan was taken to the hospital where she later did not recover from her injuries.
It was unclear at the time, how the crash happened, or if the driver of the vehicle will face any charges.
