NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman was hit and killed by a train in South Nashville Wednesday evening.
Metro Police and other emergency crews responded to the scene on the train tracks near Crossings Boulevard and Mt. View Road.
Police later identified the woman as Katherine Taflinger, 47.
They say she was walking on the tracks and did not respond to the train's horn as it approached.
Police classify her death as an accident.
