A woman was taken into custody after allegedly ramming police cruisers while evading Metro Nashville officers.

The ordeal began Tuesday afternoon when officers with West Precinct's Crime Suppression Unite saw the suspect, Angela Sage, sitting in her 1994 Mitsubishi sedan.

She had been wanted on nearly 16 warrants, including reckless endangerment.

Officials tried to serve the warrant at a tire shop on Charlotte Pike when the situation escalated.

As officers tried to approach her, she put her car in reverse and allegedly rammed a police vehicle, causing extensive damage to it.

Police said she then nearly ran over four officers and two citizens as she forced her car through a large iron gate and multiple fences.

Sage was spotted again around 2 a.m. Wednesday on Briley Parkway at mile marker 22. Police again tried to arrest her, at which point she allegedly led them on yet another pursuit.

Eventually, she was apprehended on Briley Parkway after police deployed a spike strip.

She was charged with six counts of felony aggravated assault, one count of felony reckless endangerment, four counts of felony evading arrest in a motor vehicle, four counts of driving on a revoked license, two counts of vandalism, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sage was jailed in lieu of $134,000 bond.
