Woman injured in road rage shooting on I-24W

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman was shot during a road rage incident on Interstate 24 West.

An out-of-state couple got onto I-24W from Shelby Street when they were involved in a road rage incident between Shelby and Spring Street, according to Metro Police.

The driver of the other vehicle fired at least one shot into the victim's vehicle. The female passenger was hit in the leg. She was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her injury was not life-threatening.

Police say the driver of the victim's car was arrested for DUI and implied consent.
