A woman has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
The incident happened on East 4th Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
Officers said 33-year-old Stephanie Wagner was sitting on the trunk of a car when the suspect ran in to the vehicle and then took off.
Wagner was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where she died.
The female suspect has been identified as 29-year-old Sherita Thomas. She was taken in custody a short time after the crash.
Officers said she is charged with murder, tampering with evidence, DUI and leaving the scene of the crash.
