NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Nashville fire investigators said they’re working to determine the cause of a deadly house fire in Old Hickory.
The call came in shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday when a bystander reported seeing smoke coming from across the lake. Crews responded but didn’t find anything.
Another caller gave them the correct address of 47 Jones Circle. When crews got to the scene, they said the home was engulfed in flames and the roof had already collapsed.
A family member arrived and told fire crews a women was inside the home. Her remains were found Monday. Investigators did not release her identity.
The cause of the fire was not yet known.
