NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash after veering off the roadway.
The wreck happened on Edgehill Avenue near 17th Avenue South Saturday afternoon.
Officials said 55-year-old Debra Sue Barer was driving a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck when she stopped at a traffic signal.
Police said Barer drove through the light when it turned green. She then veered off the road for an unknown reason and hit a parked, unoccupied car.
Barer was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol.
The investigation was ongoing.
