A woman was pulled from a fiery crash that slowed traffic for hours on I-24 in Rutherford County.

It happened Tuesday evening on I-24E at Fortress Boulevard in Murfreesboro.

According to Murfreesboro Fire Department officials, a dump truck smashed into a car near Fortress Boulevard during rush hour, causing that car to go up in flames.

A bystander was able to pull a woman out of the vehicle. She and another passenger were rushed to the hospital.

Thankfully neither has serious injuries. It was unclear whether or not the dump truck driver will face charges.
