NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A woman was shot near a Nashville library while running away from a shooting.
The incident happened shortly before midnight Monday near the Pruitt Branch Public Library, located off Charles E. Davis and Lafayette road.
Metro Police said the woman came to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to witnesses, there was a large group near the library when they started hearing gunshots. The woman took off running but was shot while trying to get away.
Police said she is expected to recover. Investigators have not yet identified a suspect in the case.
