Mother, Teen Injured After Shots Fired Into Car

A woman and her teenage son were taken to an area hospital after someone opened fire into their car in Antioch. 

Officers with Metro Nashville Police said the shooting happened around midnight Monday on Pepperwood Drive. 

Two adults and their two children were in the car at the time. A mother and son were hit by gunfire but are expected to be okay.

The father and toddler were not injured.

The victims drove to an Exxon on Murfreesboro Pike at La Vergne Couchville Pike to call for help. 

The gunmen drove off after firing into the victim's car. There was no description of the suspects at this time.
