A woman wanted for the murder of a man in a Nashville-area hotel has been found and arrested in South Carolina.
Officers from the Brentwood Police Department arrested 39-year-old Shannon Richardson early Monday morning.
Richardson was wanted for the death of 40-year-old Reuben Dunigan from Antioch. Investigators said Dunigan’s body was found Saturday morning inside of his Extended Stay Hotel room.
The cause of death was not available, but an autopsy confirmed the death as a homicide.
After a manhunt over the weekend, Richardson was found in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was taken into custody, though it wasn’t clear how they were able to locate her.
Police said Richardson’s last known address was in Antioch.
Richardson was charged with criminal homicide and waived extradition. She was expected to be transported to the Williamson County Jail.
Investigators did not say if or how Richardson and Dunigan knew each other.
