SMITHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman's body was recovered from Center Hill Lake over the weekend.
Emergency crews said the incident happened around 5 p.m. Sunday, in DeKalb County.
A fisherman apparently found the body in the lake near Still Point Boat Ramp across from Pates Ford Marina.
Sheriff Patrick Ray said the body was that of a young woman. Her identity was not known.
Officials said she was last seen alive Saturday night.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
No additional details were known.
