NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Registration has opened for Nashville International Airport’s “BNA 5K on the Runway.”

The event is set for April 18. Proceeds will benefit Monroe Harding foster care services and Safe Haven Family Shelter.

The race is limited to 2,000 runners/walkers. You can sign up here.

“What a great way to have fun while generating funds for important community organizations,” said Doug Kreulen, president and CEO of BNA. “It’s also a chance for BNA to provide participants a hands-on airport experience … and you won’t find a flatter course in town! We invite you to bring your family, your friends and even your dog.”

Last year’s race sold out and raised $82,000 for K9s for Warriors, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing service canines at no cost to veterans suffering trauma as a result of military service post 9/11.
