A 10-year-old girl has died after she was accidentally shot by her twin brother in Lawrence County.
The incident took place in the parking lot of a Dollar General near the Alabama state line around 3 p.m. Sunday.
A parent of the two children had gone into a store, leaving the young twins in the car. That's when the brother found a handgun in the car, and accidentally shot his twin sister in the head.
She was airlifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center in grave condition, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Charges will not be filed in the case.
