NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Your Amazon Prime Day shopping spree could help the family of fallen Metro Police Officer John Anderson

According to the Metro Police Department, The 100 Club of Nashville is a registered as a charitable organization on AmazonSmile.

AmazonSmile is basically the same website as regular Amazon.com. But, shoppers can pick a charity and 0.5% of eligible purchases made through the website will go back to that charity.

The 100 Club of Nashville was founded by business leaders in 1979 to help provide for the families of fallen police officers and firefighters. Metro Nashville Police Department said the organization will be working with the family and estate of Officer John Anderson in the coming weeks.

Anderson was killed in a fiery crash on July 4 after police say his patrol car was hit by a teen driver, who was fleeing from an officer in a separate incident. He left behind an 18-month-old son.
