Two juveniles have come forward to claim responsibility for a fire that destroyed a pavilion at the Gordon Jewish Community Center.
The fire broke out just before 11 p.m. Sunday at the center on Percy Warner Boulevard in Nashville.
Firefighters found a large fire in the outdoor Lower Pavilion -- the camp building closest to the Holocaust Memorial.
The fire started after the campus had been cleared and the gates locked.
The blaze was the result of a camp fire that burned out of control, and officials tell us two juveniles came forward and claimed responsibility.
The main building of the community center was not damaged, and they were operating normal hours Monday.
The pavilion and its contents were destroyed, including their big tent and picnic tables.
The center said they were already working on plans to rebuild the pavilion for a camp that begins there in June.
In a statement on their Facebook page, center officials said the Metro Nashville Police Department and Nashville Fire Department were handling matters with the juveniles. Their identities and ages were not released.
