The Nashville Sounds put out the call for a few good singers and the response was remarkable.
The Sounds baseball club held a free open tryout Saturday at First Tennessee Park to find some new National Anthem singers for their upcoming season.
Solo artists, duets, and groups of all ages had to be present and had to sing an acapella version of The Star-Spangled Banner.
Over 150 acts turned out for the tryout.
“With Nashville, we have so much talent here,” said Mary Hegley, Director of Entertainment. “It makes it easy for us, but at the same time hard for us because we have a lot to choose from.”
Saturday was the only chance to audition live, but for those who missed it and think they have the voice for it, submissions were still be accepted by email. Get your video ready and click here to send it in.
