The brackets have been completed for the NCAA Tournament with 68 spots filled.
Multiple local teams made it in this year, including Vanderbilt. The Commodores made it into a First Four game. They’ll face Wichita State Tuesday in Dayton, Ohio to decide the 11 seed of the South.
The 11 seed will face off against Arizona Thursday in Providence, Rhode Island.
The reaction was huge at Middle Tennessee where the Blue Raiders learned they’d head to the tournament for the first time since 2013.
Middle Tennessee swept through the Conference USA Tournament to earn the 15 seed in the Midwest. The Blue Raiders will face 2 seed Michigan State Friday in St. Louis, Missouri.
Austin Peay’s team knew it would be dancing after winning the OVC tournament.
The Governors avoided the First Four as some expected for their first NCAA appearance in eight years. At a number 16 seed, Austin Peay has been scheduled to face number 1 seed Kansas in the South Thursday in Des Moines, Iowa.
Chattanooga also made it to the tournament this year coming in at a 12 seed in the East. They have will play Thursday in Des Moines against 5 seed Indiana.
After taking the SEC tournament title in Nashville, the Kentucky Wildcats came in at a 4 seed in the East facing off against 13 seed Stony Brook Thursday in Des Moines.
