NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Ronnie Vinson's interception return for a touchdown at the end of the first quarter was the difference and Tennessee State beat Tennessee Tech 10-7 on Saturday.

Tennessee Tech scored in the first quarter on Austin Tallant's 29-yard interception return of a Ronald Butler pass. Tennessee State responded with a 12-play, 66 yard drive, including a 10-yard rush for Butler on third-and-4, culminating in Lane Clark's 26-yard field goal.

On the ensuing possession, Vinson picked off Jared Davis at midfield and took it all the way back to put TSU up 10-7.

Neither team managed much offense, with State gaining 205 total yards and just 13 first downs while Tech put up 150 yards and seven first downs, including 34 yards on the ground.

Butler was 15 of 23 for 113 yards. Davis finished 11 of 26 for 116 yards.
