A&M Beats Vanderbilt, Wins Share Of SEC Title

Jalen Jones scored 17 points as No. 20 Texas A&M earned a share of its first regular-season league title in 30 years with a 76-67 victory over Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Freshmen Tyler Davis added 16 for the Aggies (24-7, 13-5 Southeastern Conference), who had a three-way share of the Southwest Conference crown in 1986.

In their fourth season in the SEC, the Aggies sealed the top seed in next week's conference tournament. Kentucky (23-8, 13-5), which entered the day tied with A&M atop the conference standings, beat LSU on Saturday to share the regular-season title.

Wade Baldwin IV and Damian Jones each scored 11 points for Vanderbilt (19-12, 11-7 SEC).

The Aggies dominated the Commodores in points in the paint (40-22), points off turnovers (27-14) and fast-break points (8-0).
