LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (WTVF) — Nashville SC was set to take the field on Wednesday, July 8th to resume their season in the MLS is Back cup after a long layoff due to COVID-19. But that match has now been postponed.

No future date for the match has been announced, and it's possible that Nashville SC won't compete in the tournament at all.

Since arriving in Orlando, five Nashville SC players have received confirmed positive tests for COVID-19, according to the club, and four others have received inconclusive test results and require future testing.

"MLS will continue to evaluate the club’s participation in the MLS is Back Tournament following the results of additional testing," a press release from the team reads.

One MLS team, FC Dallas, was withdrawn from the tournament earlier this week after 10 of their players and one coach tested positive for COVID-19.
