Former Tennessee Titans linebacker Keith Bullock was arrested in Davidson County for driving under the influence.
The arrest happened Tuesday just before 3 a.m. According to a police affidavit, Bullock was driving on Interstate 65 near Armory Drive when he veered off the right shoulder and struck a light pole.
After the crash, responding officers found Bullock outside of his vehicle. They said he had slurred speech, red and watery eyes, and was very uneasy when he walked. Officers also smelled alcohol on his breath.
A field sobriety test also showed several signs of impairment, though officers said Bullock told them he did not believe he was very intoxicated.
Officials said Bullock refused to sign a document saying he was read and understood the implied consent law, and also refused a blood test.
Bullock played for the Titans from 2000 to 2009 before going to the New York Giants for his final season.
He was expected to appear in court on Monday, March 23.
