NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sources have confirmed that legendary defensive mind Dick LeBeau has agreed to a deal with the Tennessee Titans.

According to ESPN, the Titans are expected to officially announce Thursday that LeBeau is joining the team’s staff as an associate head coach in charge of defense.

The move would bring the 77-year-old LeBeau to Nashville to oversee the defense. Ray Horton, a LeBeau pupil, would reportedly stay on as defensive coordinator.

LeBeau spent 16 years as Steelers’ defensive coordinator before being let go in January, where he had the league's best defense five times.

Last season, the Titans were 2-14 under new head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
