It was Hockey Fights Cancer Night at Bridgestone Arena, and to start off the night, a special guest got to drop the ceremonial puck.

Bella Huey, a 15-year-old from Lewisburg, was "Ambassador" for the night at the Predators game Saturday against the Los Angeles Kings.

Bella is a cancer survivor who has known just what good work goes on at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

She's been fighting the fight since she was 9 years old.

Despite her challenges at such a young age, Bella has remained positive about it all.

“You'd think it would be a negative thing, which it is, but there’s always the positive that you can bring out of it,” Bella said. “I don’t know, it just was a positive, like doing this and getting to tell people my story and inspire people.”

Saturday night's event helped raise money for a pediatric cancer research fund at the Children's Hospital.
