The Nashville Predators may be going on the road, but that didn't mean hockey stopped in Smashville.
Hockey games have been scheduled to be played for 24 hours straight at Bridgestone Arena.
That included more than 20 college, high school, youth, military, and women's games.
The event not only gives players of all ages a chance to skate on the ice at Bridgestone Arena, but it's a way for the Predators organization to bring awareness to the sport.
“I would love to say we are a hockey hot bed,” said Andee Boiman, Director of Amateur Hockey for the Predators. “We have some very passionate individuals in the amateur hockey community, and we really wanted to celebrate that.”
There was still plenty of hockey to watch as the event wasn’t scheduled to wrap up until 2 p.m. Sunday.
All games have been free to the public. Click here to learn more.
