Playoff hockey has officially returned to Nashville, and fans showed their support for the Predators at a pre-game party outside Bridgestone Arena.

Fans arrived hours before the puck dropped to enjoy music, food, face painting, and even a chance to smash a car painted in Anaheim Ducks colors.

The Predators have a 2-0 lead in the series against the Ducks, and fans said they hope to do their part to keep the momentum going.

“It’s a great city, friendly people, and when you get us all together in a hockey arena, it’s mayhem,” said Joe Kubicek, a Predators fan.

“Every year we look forward to getting into the playoffs, and this year, we want to go deep,” added Bill Gandy, a long time season ticket holder.

Fans outside the arena were decked out in gold and blue shirts and jerseys, and inside the arena, fans were given special gold playoff shirts to wear during the game.

The Predators will host another plaza party before the next game at Bridgestone Arena Thursday.  The party will start at 4 p.m., doors will open at 5 p.m. and the game starts at 7 p.m.  Another huge crowd is expected.
