It may not have been the outcome Nashville Predators fans were hoping for in Game 5, but that didn’t stop many from greeting the team at the airport Thursday night.
Fans welcomed the team back home as they landed at Nashville International Airport just before 1 a.m.
Sean Henry, the Predator's President and CEO, tweeted his appreciation to fans.

The players drove out in their personal cars headed straight for home, but not before giving the crowd some smiles and some waves.
#SMASHVILLE was rocking last night for the away game watch party. It'll be even crazier for Sunday's must-win Game 6! #WeWantTheCup @NC5 pic.twitter.com/rsvjD1MSM9

There was also a sold-out crowd inside Bridgestone Arena last night for a watch party. Fans stayed loud throughout the first period, but slowly began clearing out once the team was down 6-0.
The Preds face elimination for the first time this season on Sunday and will try to force a Game 7 at home.
