Hockey has returned to Smashville!

The Nashville Predators have been set to open up their regular season at home Friday night against the Chicago Blackhawks.

It's the most anticipated season in Predators franchise history.

Opening night in Smashville gets underway at 7 p.m. Friday at Bridgestone Arena.

Friday night has also been set to be the official debut in a #76 Preds uniform for All-Star defenseman P.K. Subban.

The Predators got him in a huge summertime trade.

The Preds have been scheduled to start the season against a rival in the Blackhawks, so they're saying the atmosphere in Smashville should compare to those of playoff games.

Saturday, the Preds have been scheduled to be in Chicago for another game against the Blackhawks.
