Fresh off a big playoff win in Chicago, the Nashville Predators received a warm welcome back to Music City.

People lined up decked out in their Preds jerseys and carrying signs.

When the plane touched down Sunday afternoon at Signature Flight Support, there was plenty of cheering.

Players and Head Coach Peter Laviolette said they appreciate all the support.

“It’s awesome. Our fans are unbelievable, and the support they give us all year and then in the playoffs as well, it’s amazing,” said Laviolette. “I would expect it will be a great atmosphere [Monday] night.”

Fans in downtown Nashville Sunday evening were already feeling the excitement for Monday's game after such a great showing in Chicago.

“If you are on the fence about it, now is the time to come down here," James Sharp said while taking photos with his fiance in front of Bridgestone Arena. "You don’t even have to go into the stadium. Just being down here before the game [Monday] night is gonna be like a whole new thing.”

The puck has been scheduled to drop at 8:30 Monday night at Bridgestone Arena.

The Preds lead their playoff series against the Chicago Blackhawks 2-0.

“If you can beat the Blackhawks, you can beat anybody," Sharp said.
