Colorado, Nebraska and South Dakota have already seen what this snowstorm can do, and now Minnesota is expecting the worst of it today with blizzard conditions.
Blizzard warnings have been in effect since late last night and will remain so until 9 p.m. local time.
Snowfall accumulations range widely depending on location in relation to the storm. The backside of this low pressure system is getting hit the hardest with the right combination of cold air and plentiful moisture getting wrapped around it.

Regardless, a shovel or snow blower is going to be needed in parts of Nebraska, South Dakota and across most of Minnesota after today.
Into the weekend, those accumulating snows move into Wisconsin, parts of Michigan, Ohio and New York.
With winter a little more than a month away, this is likely just a taste of what's to come in December, January and February for the parts of the country that have to endure winter weather.
