Tropical Depression 13 has been upgraded to the newest tropical storm of the season — Lisa.
This latest tropical system is expected to have a relatively short life, and it's not expected to affect any nearby land.
Lisa is the 12th named storm of the season, which makes the 2016 officially more active than the previous two seasons.

This also marks the minimum number of storms forecasted by the National Hurricane Center, and if Karl becomes a hurricane as it's expected, that would be the fifth hurricane of the season.
There are currently no other disturbances ripe for further tropical development, but that could change with hurricane season lasting until the end of November.
