Interstate 40 was partially shut down for nearly 11 hours Saturday into Sunday in Putnam County.

A crash happened around 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the west bound lanes of the interstate in Cookeville.

Police said a tractor trailer's tire blew out sending the vehicle up an embankment before flipping over.

The interstate reopened around 2 a.m. Sunday. No further details were available.
