NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — It's been several months since we've had a full weekend closure on the Interstate 440 loop but it's happening again this weekend.
The I-24 eastbound and I-40 westbound ramps will shut down Friday at 9 p.m. and they won't re-open until Monday morning, right before rush hour.
If you're coming up from south Nashville, you can still access I-440, but everyone else will need to take a detour.
Here's the one TDOT has planned: They will send everyone down I-24 eastbound to the Briley Parkway/Thompson Lane exit. Then you can use Thompson Lane to get to Nolensville Pike and back up to 440. If you come in from the downtown loop, you can also use that to get to I-65 and access 440 from there.
Remember this lasts all weekend long, so plan accordingly.
