A crash involving multiple vehicles backed up morning traffic on Interstate 65.
The wreck happened around 5:51 a.m. Friday at mile marker 97 in the southbound lanes of the interstate.
Details had not been released regarding the cause of the crash or if any injuries were involved.
Officials with the Tennessee Department of Transportation said the right lane was blocked to southbound traffic. Northbound drivers were not affected.
Crews estimated the roadway would be cleared just before 7 a.m.
