SMYRNA, Tenn. (WTVF) — A tractor trailer fire has caused major delays in both directions on Interstate 24 in Smyrna.
The indent happened shortly before 5 a.m. in westbound lanes near Sam Ridley Parkway. It’s unclear what caused the semi to catch fire.
The fire has since been extinguished. No one was hurt.
TDOT says the issue is causing delays for both directions. It’s not expected to fully clear until 9 a.m.
