1 Killed, 3 Injured In Wreck After Alleged Home Invasion

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – One person has died and several others were injured in a wreck that happened after an alleged home invasion.

Those with the Christian County Sheriff’s Office in Kentucky said they received a call around 5:08 a.m. Saturday of the alleged home invasion in the 5000 block of Huffmans Mill Road.

Authorities said someone inside the home was assaulted during the incident.

After leaving the scene, the four suspects wrecked close to the intersection of Huffmans Mill Road and Lafayette Road.

One suspect, identified as 23-year-old Jacob Ort of Clarksville, died at the scene.

Two others were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where they were listed in stable condition. They have been identified as 27-year-old Michael Forrester and 22-year-old William Miles, both of Clarksville.

A third was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where her condition was unknown. She was identified as 20-year-old Kendra Lee, of Montgomery County.

Officials said the victim in the home invasion was taken to Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities said the investigation was ongoing.
