CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- A University of Tennessee Chattanooga graduate engineering student who disappeared for almost two weeks died of hypothermia, according to a coroner's report.

Ali Ali, age 24 from Sudan, was found on Maclellan Island on January 18. Temperatures had been as low as 20 degrees around that time.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reported authorities still did not know much about where Ali was after he disappeared on January 5. He was last seen in UTC's engineering, mathematics and computer science building.

Police said an autopsy found no evidence of foul play, and Ali's death has been ruled accidental.

Chattanooga Police Chief Fred Fletcher told the paper police were going to continue to investigate. He urged anyone with information about the disappearance to come forward.
