Cheatham County Rape Suspect Arrested In Franklin

ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. – A suspect, who was wanted in Cheatham County on rape charges, was arrested in Franklin after two months on the run.

Deputies with the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, along with agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested Michael Cook on Monday after receiving a tip he was at a construction site in Williamson County.

The 34-year-old was wanted by both the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office and Springfield Police Department.

Cook was said to be facing multiple charges, including rape, attempted child abuse and burglary.

He was taken into custody and booked in Cheatham County.
