NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man out walking his dog was grazed by a bullet after spooking some would-be car burglars in Antioch overnight.
Metropolitan Nashville Police said a man was walking his dog around midnight at the Hickory Highlands Apartments. He came across a group of four men who were allegedly checking car door handles to see if they were unlocked.
When then men saw him, they allegedly got into their car to flee, but one of the suspects opened fire as they were driving off.
Police said the victim ducked down to avoid getting shot, but was grazed by a bullet on his ear. He was taken to the hospital, but was expected to be ok.
The getaway car was said to be a white sedan with tinted windows, but descriptions of the suspects were not immediately released.
