NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A major part of any wedding, at least in the bride's mind, has always been the dress.
On Thursday, military brides from across the state got the chance to find the gown of their dreams.
Glitz Nashville in Bellevue has been taking part in something called Operation Wedding Gown, an event that has been offering brand new designer dresses for free to military brides.
It's all sponsored by Brides Across America to make wedding planning a little easier for military couples.
The store's owner, Ann Miller, said she's glad for this chance to give back to service members.
"To be able to make that dream come true of getting a brand new, free wedding gown is just a blessing,” Miller said. “It just makes us all so happy to be able to do this."
For anyone who missed Thursday's event, Operation Wedding Gown was set to offer another one around Veteran's Day.
