MADISON, Tenn. – A person has died after being struck by a train in northern Davidson County.
The incident happened Monday morning along train tracks located near the intersection of Madison Street and Douglas Street Madison.
Officers on the scene told NewsChannel 5 that initial reports indicate the person may have intentionally jumped in front of the train.
The victim's identity was not available.
Sky 5 flew above the area and showed the train stopped on the tracks while officials remained on the scene.
No additional details were immediately known.
