NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have asked the public’s help in identifying a suspect who they said used a cloned credit card at a Williamson County grocery store.
Officials with Franklin Police said the suspect loaded $500 onto a gift card using a cloned credit card.
He was seen inside the Fieldstone Parkway Publix in Franklin around 5 p.m. on July 1. Police said the suspect committed a similar crime at a Franklin Rite Aid the same day.
According to police, the card associated to the victim’s account was actually in the person’s possession at the time of the transaction.
The suspect somehow obtained and encoded the victim’s account information onto the card.
A woman was also seen with him inside the store.
Anyone with information was asked to call Franklin police.
