Police: Woman Stole From Shoney's Cash Register

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police have asked the public’s help in identifying a suspect who was seen on surveillance video allegedly stealing money from a Shoney’s cash register.

The incident happened Saturday night at the restaurant located on Donelson Pike.

Officials with Metro Police said the suspect entered the business around 9:30 p.m. and asked to see a menu. When the cashier opened the drawer, the suspect allegedly grabbed a handful of $20 dollar bills.

She fled the scene in a white car, possibly a Dodge Charger or Challenger.

Police said she is an African American woman in her late 20s or early 30s and is 5’9” tall and weighs approximately 250 pounds. She also has a tattoo on her left shoulder.

Anyone who can identify the woman from surveillance photos was urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
